About the safe use of magnets, This 4 points need to be noted
Magnets are widely used in various industrial manufacturing fields because of their characteristics. Many products around us may use magnets in manufacturing, such as some toys, packaging boxes, electronic products, etc. So it is also considered that our life is relatively easy to contact items, and the magnet itself has magnetic. Many people like to hold it in their hands to play or interact with the surrounding ferrous metal. But in fact, playing with magnets is a safety hazard. The following magnet manufacturer, Haoxiang, shares with you the safe use of magnets. The following four points are critical to note.
1. magnets are not children's toys - First of all, the magnetic force between the magnets may be
massive, children can not control it is easy to pinch, and more importantly,
the volume of magnets is relatively tiny, so children can easily misuse, misuse
of magnets, which may cause severe injuries to children if found immediately
need to seek medical attention.
2. Damage to electronic devices - The strong magnetic field of neodymium magnets can damage certain magnetic media, such as credit cards,
magnetic ID cards, cassettes, and video cassettes. Cards, cassettes, and
videotapes. They can also damage televisions, computer monitors, and other CRT
monitors. If you have a pacemaker or know of someone with a pacemaker who may come
into contact with magnets, please call us to discuss your application before
purchasing. There should be no problem with small electronics such as cell
phones, iPods, calculators, solid state drives, and other devices that do not
contain magnetic storage. For safety reasons, please try to avoid close contact
with neodymium magnets. Multi-magnets have a particular magnetic field that is
less damaging to sensitive electronics.
3. Avoid multi-magnet fit - do not let these magnets jam
together with their full force, or they will break and likely send small pieces
flying in all directions. Do not attempt to machine or drill holes in the
magnets. For standard N40 grade magnets, do not heat them above 176F (80C), as
this will cause them to lose their magnetism. If a high-temperature resistant
magnet style is required, you can specify the requirements with the
manufacturer in advance. It is recommended that protective gloves and goggles
be worn when handling these magnets. Broken magnets have sharp edges. Magnet
powders and particles from broken magnets should not be inhaled.
4. Pinch hazard - Neodymium magnets can pinch very hard, and some of our more
giant magnets can easily break bones. For your safety, do not allow your
fingers or any part of your body to get between the magnets, and please handle
them with care. Thick gloves and goggles are recommended when handling more
giant magnets.
Magnets may seem like harmless little particles, but their
potential danger is still great, so we'd better be careful when touching them
to avoid accidents.
